Julianna Herman Bio:
Julianna graduated in 2018 from the Ramapo College of New Jersey with a B.S. in Biology, and is currently a third year Ph.D. student in the lab of Dr. Conover. At Ramapo, Julianna worked in the lab of Dr. Joost Monen and studied a gene known to code for CEMP A, a histone protein found in C. elegans. She worked on CPAR-1, the gene coding for this protein, and observed effects of deletion on meiosis and mitosis. At the moment, Julianna is studying neural stem cell-mediated repair in cases of hydrocephalus, with a specific interest in post-infectious hydrocephalus.
